Students conduct specialized research in the fields of Japanese linguistics, classical and modern literature, kabuki and ukiyoe, pop culture, Japanese philosophy, Japanese language education, etc.
Research
Our research is based on profound insights and creative thinking through in-depth study and understanding of expert knowledge in various fields of humanities from a global perspective, including those of Japan, Europe, the United States, the Pacific Rim, China, and East Asia. Our program also collaborates with the Institute for Humanities Research and the Center for Language Studies, both of which are affiliated with Kanagawa University.
